¿Cómo leer el archivo key3.db?

El archivo key3.db contiene la clave que se usa para cifrar las contraseñas de Firefox almacenadas en el archivo logins.json .

No uso la contraseña maestra en Firefox, pero de acuerdo con En este artículo , mis contraseñas están cifradas con una clave aleatoria que está almacenada en el archivo key3.db .

Intenté abrir el archivo utilizando el SqliteBrowser, pero recibí un error: "Formato de archivo no válido". ¿Alguien puede saber cómo leer este archivo para poder obtener la clave de mis contraseñas de Firefox?

Si no se establece una contraseña maestra, Firefox usa una contraseña vacía.

Para un script Python sucio para descifrar y volcar los datos (y algunos más), consulte el siguiente código. Es un viejo proyecto mío y acabo de actualizar la lectura de las contraseñas y los nombres de usuario que se guardaron en signons.sqlite antes (ahora en logins.json ). No puedo garantizar que (todo) esté funcionando, pero lo hizo en mi caso de prueba.

Debería funcionar en Windows y Linux, pero solo probé los cambios en un sistema Windows.

Editar: reemplacé la secuencia de comandos para descifrar las contraseñas con una solo para volcar información diferente (incluidas las contraseñas y los nombres de usuario descifrados con una contraseña determinada)
