Proxychains no funciona, la prueba de fugas de DNS muestra la ubicación

He estado intentando usar Proxy Chains con Tor, pero cuando lance Firefox con ellos, una prueba de Fugas de DNS mostrará exactamente dónde vivo. Estoy en Linux Mint y estoy usando el Firefox varado, no el navegador Tor o algo así. Configuré el archivo proxychains.conf habilitando dynamic_chain y comentando strict_chain, también agregué socks5 127.0.0.1 9050 a mi lista de proxy. He estado usando Linux y la Terminal por aproximadamente un año mientras aprendía Desarrollo Web y ahora estoy tratando de aprender algo de seguridad para proteger mejor mis sitios web.
